Automatic Alt Text
I was the AI tech lead for Automatic Alt Text (AAT), which automatically describes images for blind users of Facebook. I developed semi-supervised algorithms using cluster-based and active learning that discovered thousands of visual concepts at scale in images uploaded to Facebook.
